Cartoon Jedi: Obi-Wan Kenobi Mascot Concept.

This character design sketch, based on Ewan McGregor's Obi-Wan Kenobi, was a commission to design a mascot for an advertising campaign. It's a shame that the client ultimately did not go ahead with the campaign. I'm happy with the look Cartoon Network achieved in their design.
For the character design based on Obi-Wan Kenobi, portrayed by Ewan McGregor, I created several exploratory sketches in search of the character’s overall appearance, as well as his expressive, action, and movement possibilities.

As you can see, I developed different stages in this work process. Although I had limited time due to the urgency of the assignment, I wanted to properly follow all the phases of the design process.

I began by creating thumbnails to explore the character’s silhouette. At first, I worked on a version with a more classic cartoon style and more realistic proportions, but I eventually discarded it in favor of a more stylized cartoon style.
